SUMMARY:  LC 33 3404S AS PASSED

Changes the requirement that the Georgia Department of Education submit a report on extracurricular expenditures and participation by gender annually to the General Assembly to a requirement that they publish such an annual report.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: 

• This does not affect any reporting local districts are required to do.  
• Gender equity laws at the national level are not affected by this proposed legislation. Local districts still fall under the gender equity requirements of the US Department of Education.

EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon approval by the Governor or upon becoming law without such approval.
