SUMMARY: Provides for protections for government statues, monuments, plaques, banners, etc.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • applies to school districts as well as other governmental agencies
  • it shall be illegal to deface publicly owned monument located on property owned by an agency of the state
  • such items shall not be relocated, altered, concealed, etc., unless measures for protection of the item is taken
  • defines conditions under which such items may be relocated

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Upon approval by the Governor.
