SUMMARY: Current law states that food sales events sponsored by political subdivisions of the state (including school districts) are exempt from provisions of the law that pertain to other food service establishments.  This change allows counties and municipalities to delegate the issuance of permits for nonprofit food sales to the county board of health.

EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon approval by the Governor.
