SUMMARY: LC 33 4925 The Parent Protection Act. Requires employers to provide for leave for employees to attend school conferences and medical appointments of the employee or employee's family, including elderly relatives.
REQUIREMENTS: - Up to 24 hours of leave may be utilized in each 12 month perior for these purposes
- written notice may be required
- written verification of the absence may be required
- employers may not penalize employees for utilization of such leave
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon approval of the General Assembly and Governor.
