SUMMARY:  LC 33 4929   Current law prohibits, after certain dates, those with leadership certification from utilizing the degree for placement on the state salary schedule unless the individual is actually serving in a leadership position.

 

This proposed bill states, "this provision shall not be construed to prohibit any educator from enrolling in a leadership preparation program or pursuing a leadership degree...regardless a to whether he or she is currently serving in a leadership position or recommended or sponsored by a local board of education for a leadership preparation program."

 

EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon approval by the General Assembly and Governor.
