SUMMARY:  LC 33 5090 
  • Adds bullying to the list of disciplinary actions a school district must report to the Department of Education.
  • Requires principals to report incidents of bullying to the school council
  • the principal shall work with the school council to develop and implement strategies to prevent bullying
  • a student in grades 6-12 who commits bullying for the third time  in a school year shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of a high and aggravated nature
