SUMMARY:  LC 34 4666  A proposed constitutional amendment that abolishes state ad valorem taxes on tangible property.  Not affected are ad valorem taxes on public utilities, railroad companies and airlines.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  January 1, 2017 if passed by 2/3 vote of the House and Senate and passed by the voters.
