SUMMARY: LC 33 6210

Amendment of Code Section 20-2-144, relating to mandatory instruction of alcohol and drug use prevention for all students in grades 3 -12.

Requires local boards to provide a minimum of 12 hours of alcohol and drug abuse prevention curriculum each year in every grade 3-12.   Current statute requires mandatory instruction in alcohol and drug abuse prevention each year in each grade K-12 but has no time requirement.

EFFECTIVE DATE:

July 1, 2016 if passed
