SUMMARY: LC 41 0607 "Georgia Personal Data Security Act". To help prevent identity theft this act would improve systems and procedures for providing and regulating notifications of data breaches. It would require that notices of data breach be sent to certain officials of the state and allow enforcement by the Attorney General. 

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Upon approval by the General Assembly and Governor.
