SUMMARY:  LC 40 1000 Adds mental impairment and psychological disorder or illness to the categories of individuals (including students) entitled to use and be accompanied by service animals. Increases the penalty for knowingly and intentionally destroys or causes physical harm to a service animal. 

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Upon approval by the General Assembly and Governor.
