SUMMARY: LC 362867    Would provide for up to three days of paid leave of absence for certain public employees upon the death of an immediate family member. An immediate family member is defined as an employee's spouse, parent, legal guardian, grand parent, great-grandparent, sibling, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, child, stepchild, grandchild, or great-grandchild of the employee or the employee's spouse.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Upon approval by the General Assembly and Governor.
