Title 20 “cleanup:” 

  • defines freedom of speech actions by board members
  • clarifies awarding of dual credit diplomas
  • exempts students with dual credit course grades of A, B, or C from taking end of course tests
  • exempts students who score a 3 or above from taking the end of course exams
  • exempts students who score a 4 or better on an IB exam from taking the end of course tests
  • includes HB 814, the Educating Children of Military Families Act, which requires the Department of Education to generate a unique identifier for children of military families for purposes of disaggreagation of their data
  • includes SB 329 which expands provisions for dual credit courses
  • includes SB 348 which which authorizes charter systems and strategic waiver systems to include career academies if they have a decision-making governing board
