Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:  LC 28 7932  Pprovides that if the votes received by a candidate in a primary or election are within not more than 1% of the total votes cast such candidate shall be qualified to request a recount.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  Upon approval by the General Assembly and Governor.
