SUMMARY:  LC 43 0319   Creates the Joint Study Committee on Standardizing the Start Date of Georgia Public Schools

The committee is to consist of 16 members.

The committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues, and problems related to the negative impact of school start dates on the travel and hospitality industry and recommend any action or legislation which the committee deems necessary or appropriate.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  If approved by the House and Senate, a committee report is due by December 1, 2016
