Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY: LC 33 6722 Would require every public and private school to conduct testing of drinking water outlets for lead contamination. Testing should implemented no later than December 31, 2017. If lead contamination is found, schools would be required to establish a plan for an alternate source of drinking water.
