SUMMARY: LC 41 0877

Would raise the mandatory age of attendance in public, private or home school program from 16 years old to 17 1/2 years old. Would require all students from ages 6 -17 1/2 to be registered in school. Mandatory attendance would not be required in instances where the child has successfully completed all requirements for a high school diploma.

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2017
