Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY: LC 40 1252 Would revise HOPE scholarship requirements for entering freshmen students who are home schooled students or students that graduated from an ineligible high school. 

 

REQUIREMENTS: Student must have graduated from a high school with a GPA of at least 3.7 and received a score of in the eightieth percentile or higher on the ACT or on the combined critical reading and math portions on a single administration of the SAT. Student's from a home study program must have received a score of in the eightieth percentile or higher on the ACT or on the combined critical reading and math portions on a single administration of the SAT.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2017
