SUMMARY: LC 41 0991

Would revise provisions relating to carrying weapons within school safety zones, at school functions, or on buses or other transportation furnished by a school. The following persons, when acting in the performance of their official duties or when en route to or from their official duties would be allowed to carry a weapon on school property: peace officers, law enforcement officers, employee of the Department of Corrections, employee of the Department of Community Supervision, a campus police officer or school security officer, medical examiners, coroners and their investigators.
