SUMMARY: LC 34 5097

Would create the Senate Special Tax Exemption Study Committee. The committee would consist of six members of the Senate to be appointed by the President of the Senate, who would also designate a committee chairperson.  The purpose of this committee would be to review existing tax exemptions to obtain a better understanding of which exemptions help stimulate the states economy and job growth.

This committee will be abolished on December 1, 2017.
