Would allow a student who has a parent or legal guardian in the military or National Guard to have up to a maximum of five excused absences per school year to visit with the parent or legal guardian prior to his or her deployment or during parent's or legal guardian's leave.  Also a student may take time off from school to attend military affairs sponsored events, provided that the student provides documentation prior to the absence.

July 1, 2018, if passed
