Relates to employment under the "Quality Basic Education Act". Would remove from performance evaluation ratings the "Needs Improvement Rating", as it may adversely impact an educator's ability to obtain a renewable certificate from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Would also provide for a pilot program for alternative personnel evaluation ratings. Ten local school systems, as chosen by the State School Superintendent, would be participants in this pilot program.
