This bill serves to clean up some of the provisions of the Gun Carry bill that passed last in 2014.

Specifically, the language from SB 141 was added to provide the following:

Amends the current Juvenile Code to provide that "minor" violations of weapons in school zones are not considered Class B felonies.

School employees would not be required to report such possession unless:

• it involves a firearm, dangerous weapon or machine gun, or weapon of any kind used together with an assault, or
• it constitutes a second or subsequent adjudication of delenquency.
