SUMMARY:

            This bill would amend Part 2 of Article 16 of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the O.C.G.A. to authorize a LBOE, hearing officer, tribunal panel, or superintendent to reassign a bully at any time to another school (regular or alternative) to separate the student from his/her victim; and to provide for immediate notification of law enforcement when a physical assault or battery on anyone at school has allegedly occurred.

NOTE:

            Current law calls for mandatory reassignment to alternative school setting after the third occurrence of bullying.
