This bill would amend Part 2 of Article 16 of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the O.C.G. A. to require annual reporting of bullying incidents and to provide for input from school councils on anti-bullying strategies. It would add the bullying discipline incidents to the existing disciplinary report and would require the report to delineate by category the number of disciplined students who were eligible for free or reduced price lunch under federal guidelines.

            The bill would require the principal to regularly report incidents of bullying in the school to the school council without any individually identifying information. The school council then would work with the principal to develop and implement strategies to prevent bullying.
