This bill would amend Code Section 20-3-519 of the O. C. G.A. to revise the definition of a Zell Miller Scholar to eliminate SAT and ACT scores from eligibility and limit it to a GPA in the top 3 % of the graduating class. It would also eliminate SAT and ACT scores from home school requirements. It would also allow any student who, as a sophomore, junior, senior or first professional student with a GPA of 3.3 to become a Zell Miller Scholar without meeting the freshman requirements.
