HB 362 (Reps. Clark-R, Cooper-R, Fleming-R, Coleman-R, Carter-R, and Kaiser-D)

This bill amends current code by adding a new Code section, 20-2-776.3 (and amends 20-2-776.4 and 26-4-116.3) to allow schools to purchase/accept, stock, and administer Albuterol sulfate to students in respiratory distress, much as they currently can Auto-injectable epinephrine.  It requires trained personnel, a local board policy, development of regulations by the GaDOE, immunity for school personnel and the licensed practitioner who provides the prescription.
