SUMMARY:  

            This bill would amend Article 7 of Chapter 4 of Title 49 to require physicians who participate in the State Health Benefit Plan or the Board of Regents health plan to participate in Medicaid or lose their right to participate in the other health plans.

NOTE:

            This bill could reduce the number of readily available physicians for members of SHBP, particularly in rural or poorer regions of the state.
