SUMMARY:

This Bill would amend Title 36 of O.C.G.A. by revising 36-89-3 relating to homeowner relief grants.  It would continue the appropriation by the General Assembly of homeowner tax relief grants through this fiscal year, ending June 30, 2009.  However, the appropriation amount or some part of it might have to be postponed until the supplemental budget, or even the General Budget of the subsequent year.

In subsequent fiscal years the homeowner relief grants would be appropriated in the supplemental budgets for those years, but only under certain budgetary conditions outlined in the law.
