SUMMARY:

            This bill would amend Code Section 20-2-2065 of the O.C.G.A. to change the word “corporation” to the word “entity” in the sentence “Organized and operated as a nonprofit entity under the laws of this state;… " Passage of this bill would mean that charter schools would no longer have to obtain corporate status.
