Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY:  This bill amends Code Section 20-2-188 to allow replacement allowance to be spent to refurbish existing school buses.  Any refurbished bus would be subject to all safety and maintenance requirements, and the refurbishing must be done by a school bus dealer or manufacturer.
