Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This bill would amend Part 3 of Article 6 of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the O.C.G.A. to require an evaluation of all blind children to determine if a need for Braille instruction exists and to require such instruction. It would also require textbook publishers to provide a Braille version of all materials, including electronic materials,  and  it would require licensing in Braille instruction for teachers of the visually impaired.
