This bill would amend Code Section 13-10-91 of the O.C.G.A. to require an annual report by public employers relative to compliance with verification of new employee eligibility. Grants and retirement benefits would be added to the list of privileges which would require verification of citizenship in the U.S. People applying for a new public benefit in the same agency where he/she has previously verified citizenship would not have to repeat the process. The elements of the required annual report are included in the bill.
