Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This bill would amend Article 1 of chapter 1 of Title 20 of the O.C.G.A. to require employers to give employees with children time off with a maximum of 2 hours per year to attend a conference at the children’s schools, unless the employee begins work two hours after the beginning of the school day or at least two hours before the end of the school day. The employer would be able to specify the hours off and could require validation of attendance at the conference.
