This bill would amend Article 5 of Chapter 2 of Title 47 of the O.C.G.A. to provide for the transfer of service credit and funds from the Georgia Judicial Retirement System to ERS. Transfer of credit, employer contributions, employee contributions and interest would happen upon a request by the employee, if the member has not withdrawn the employee contributions. I he/she has withdrawn funds, it would be possible for the member to pay into the retirement system any amount chosen. Once the funds were received, credit for service would be awarded (not to exceed actual years of service under the GJRS).
