This resolution would call for creation of a Joint Study Committee on Mental Health and School Violence composed of nine members: three members from the House appointed by the Speaker, three members of the Senate appointed by the Lt. Governor, and three members appointed by the Governor. The committee would be charged with studying the conditions, needs, issues, and problems regarding this issue and recommending any actions or legislation deemed necessary or appropriate. The committee’s responsibilities would end on December 31, 2013.
