This bill would amend Article 1 of chapter 18 of Title 45 of the O.C.G.A. to provide for a pilot program in the State Health Benefit Plan to cover bariatric surgical procedures to treat obesity. There would be a limit of 75 participants over a two-year period who would have to meet multiple eligibility requirements and commit to a wellness program. The pilot would expire on December 31, 2016 with annual reports of the success of the program.
