Staff Analysis of the Legislation

   This bill would amend Code Section 20-2-51 of the O.C.G.A. to repeal a population provision prohibiting some counties’ BOE members from holding other offices. It would eliminate the paragraph that denies a BOE member in a county with a population of 500,000 to 600,000 from holding any other public office.
