Worked Based Learning and Workman’s Compensation Insurance
Up to a 5% reduction in workers’ compensation
insurance for an employer certified by the State Board of Education as a worked
based learning employer. Effective after July 1, 2016 Student must be 16 years old Certification must be renewed each year Can be for paid and non-paid positions Employer must enter into a training agreement
including the student, parents or guardian, and the work based learning
coordinator
