Worked Based Learning and Workman’s Compensation Insurance

 

  • Up to a 5% reduction in workers’ compensation insurance for an employer certified by the State Board of Education as a worked based learning employer.

  • Effective after July 1, 2016

  • Student must be 16 years old

  • Certification must be renewed each year

  • Can be for paid and non-paid positions

  • Employer must enter into a training agreement including the student, parents or guardian, and the work based learning coordinator
