HB 62 (Tanner, Dickson, Dudgeon, Evans, Epps, and others - Republican)

This bill amends Code Section 20-2-2114 to extend eligibility for the Special Needs Scholarship program to the children of active duty military service members, by:

  • Waiving the requirement of one year Georgia Residency for children of any active duty military service members stationed in Georgia.
  • Waiving the requirement for one year's attendance in a Georgia Public School for the children of active duty military service members stationed in Georgia within the last year.
