HB 69 eliminates the $10 fee currently charged by the Department of Driver Services to access a person's own driving record online.

This bill passed the House under the Open Rule by a vote of 153-0. The Senate passed the bill along with a floor amendment addressing Real ID by a vote of 45-2. The Governor vetoed the legislation and the House voted to override the veto by a vote of 155-18. The Senate did not take any further action.

THIS LEGISLATION:

  • Reduces the Size of Government by eliminating needless fees and encouraging people to access their records online, rather than going to their local DDS office, reducing the labor associated with providing the driving records.
