Chairman Bridges’ opinion of this legislation:

HB 732 offers the opportunity for certain members employed as investigators by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners to be added to the list of those eligible to join the Peace Officers’ Annuity & Benefit Fund. These members meet all of the criteria of persons now in the system.  The Annuity Fund is in a well funded position and any additional cost associated with this bill will be covered by revenues received from fines and forfeitures.  There is no cost to the State or Peace Officers Fund.
