House Bill 1303

Sponsor’s opinion of the legislation:

HB 1303 is a preemptive bill which establishes that menu nutrition should be addressed at the state level, should the need arise. Other states are allowing this decision at the local level. It is causing incredible costs on the restaurants to comply with all the different mandates. This will allow Georgia to have one standard that they would be subject to, if we ever chose to go that route.

This bill comes to the House Floor under the Open Rule.
