House Bill 1348

Chairman: Ron Forster

Committee: Interstate Cooperation

House Sponsor: Clay Cox

HB 1348 repeals the “Uniform Act for Out-of-State Parolee Supervision”, which is outdated and has been replaced by “The Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision”.

This bill comes to the House Floor under the Open Rule.

Chairman Forster’s opinion of this legislation:

Currently, the Board of Pardon and Paroles is legally bound to participate in two interstate offender transfer systems. The Board only needs to participate in the current interstate compact agreement. Repealing this outdated act will reduce unnecessary paperwork for our parole officers.
