04.12.2018 The Senate Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee gave this bill a favorable report as amended. The amendment allows municipalities to ban the use of auxiliary containers on any property or waterway owned or maintained by a county or municipality, including but not limited to tidelands, wetlands and public beaches. The amendment also increased the fine municipalities can charge to $1000.
03.15.2018 The Senate Labor, Commerce and Industry Regulatory and Local Government subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report. Senators Massey, Williams, Gambrell and Corbin voted in favor of the bill. Senators Sabb, Setzler and Davis voted against the bill.
