04.19.2022 The Senate Judiciary Committee gave this bill a favorable report as amended. The amendment specifies the events a first responder must experience and the standards by which a PTSD diagnosis must be made. Also, first responders can file a workers’ compensation claim due to a PTSD diagnosis, the amendment requires a claimant to first exhaust PTSD treatment services through the SCLEAP and SCFFAST program. 
04.05.2022 A Senate Judiciary subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report as amended. The strike all and insert amendment only allows PTSD to be a covered diagnosis. 
04.20.2021 The House Judiciary Committee gave this bill a favorable report as amended. The amendment further defines first responder and significant traumatic experience. The amendment also excludes first responders who have been diagnosed with the listed disorders as defined by the DSM.
04.15.2021 The House Judiciary Special Laws subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report.
