Summary: Auto accidents
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 56-1-227 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WHO SUSPECTS THAT A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT WAS THE RESULT OF A DRIVER'S LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS DUE TO A MEDICAL CONDITION MUST NOTIFY THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES OF THIS DETERMINATION AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT SHALL PROMULGATE REGULATIONS TO IMPLEMENT THE PROVISIONS CONTAINED IN THIS SECTION.
