02.10.2015 The House Judiciary Committee gave this bill a favorable report with amendments. The amendments added an emergency finding requirement in order to add an item at the time of a meeting and specifies that the requirement only applies when adding an action item.
02.04.2015 The House Judiciary Constitutional Laws subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report with amendments. The amendments remove the “irreparable harm” language and allows an agenda to be amended by a 2/3 vote at the beginning of the meeting.
Summary of the bill as introduced: Requires an agenda for all meetings of a public body and requires 2/3 of the members of the body present and voting to add an item to the agenda after the meeting begins. The bill also requires that members make a finding that irreparable harm will come to the public if the item is not added after the meeting begins.
