This bill addresses the cost of notices as well as the requirement to publish certain notices in a newspaper. This bill does not affect how a government entity must perfect service under the rules of civil or criminal procedure; it just clarifies circumstances under which an entity would not also have to publish a general legal notice in a newspaper.
