Staff Analysis of the Legislation

 

This bill expands the tax credit for public school fees and contributions to include taxpayer contributions towards capital items, community school meal programs and student consumable health care supplies for Arizona public schools. Allows the site council of a public school to transfer undesignated contributions to any school within the same district. 

Clarifies that the undesignated funds cannot be used for land, buildings or improvements to either.

Allows the undesignated funds to be temporarily used for playground equipment, shade structures, community school meal programs, and student consumable health care supplies.
