SB 187 (Senators Bethel-R, Henson-D, McKoon-R, James-D, Thompson-D, and Hill-R)

Amends Code Section 20-2-2114 to waive the one-year residency and enrollment requirements for eligibility for the Special Needs Scholarship for students who are lawful refugees or asylees as defined by Title IV of the federal Immitgration and Nationality Act.  The bill additionally adds limited-English proficiency as a qualifying disability for a lawful refugee or asylee, as defined by Title IV of the federal Immigration and Nationality Act.
